New Toll Free Number: Expand Your Business Reach
At Bigfoot Voice, we understand the importance of a professional and accessible business communication system. One crucial aspect of this is a toll-free number, which allows customers to call your business without incurring long-distance charges. This feature not only enhances customer service but also broadens your business reach.
Why Toll Free Numbers Matter
Toll free numbers (TFNs) provide a consistent, easy-to-remember point of contact for your customers. By removing the barrier of long-distance charges, you encourage more calls, fostering improved customer service and increased business opportunities.
How Toll Free Numbers Work
When a customer dials your toll-free number, the call is routed through a network to your business phone system (in our case, FusionPBX). The call then follows the inbound routing rules you've set up, such as IVR, ring groups, or destination numbers.
Choosing and Provisioning a Toll Free Number
- Prefix Preference: Choose from a variety of prefixes, including 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844, and 833.
- Vanity Pattern: Opt for a memorable number with a custom pattern, such as 800-555-VOIP.
- We search for available toll-free numbers in our Flowroute inventory.
- You select the number that best suits your business needs.
- We provision the number in Flowroute and assign it to your trunk/route.
- We configure inbound routing in FusionPBX to ensure calls are directed correctly.
- We verify that inbound calls are routing correctly.
What to Expect
800 numbers may have limited availability for desirable patterns. Vanity numbers are rare but can be searched for. Toll-free numbers have per-minute inbound charges, which are passed on by the carrier.
New toll-free numbers are typically available within 1-2 business days. Monthly recurring charges apply for each toll-free DID.
